Growing Greens
Lettuce and greens are excellent in containers: they are more accessible to harvest and there is less pest pressure from slugs and others. Most greens have relatively shallow root systems so a shallower pot is acceptable. Generally any greens you plant should have at least 4-6 inches of soil for their roots. The deeper the pot, the closer you can plant each seedling.
