Mission

To provide high quality, well-grown, reasonably priced culinary and native plants and education about organic growing practices for people in southern New England.

To make growing one’s food an accessible and fun endeavor for beginning and intermediate gardeners.

Meet the Growers

We are a mother-daughter collaboration based in New Haven and Middlesex counties in Connecticut. In the midst of our own solo projects,  we have decided to make available excellent seedlings to our communities. We have managed a vegetable CSA together in the past and may do so again in the future. With CT Seedlings, we have a different way for gardeners to get the plants they need for your gardens. We offer you expertly grown seedlings, curated into efficient, themed collections.

Alani Gandossy

Being Brenda’s daughter, Alani grew up gardening from a young age and was blessed with home-grown food that made her love vegetables even as a little one. As she grew and explored and traveled, she became more and more excited about fresh produce in cooking, the preciousness of healthy land and soil, and the presence of plants, animals and fungi in garden garden and in her heart. She’s worked on several farms including Boulder Knoll Community Farm and CSA with Brenda, where she headed up the environmental education workshops and events. She has also worked in retail, food service, as a baker, and in nursery and landscaping horticulture. Her greatest passion is in growing and using medicinal plants. Her current project is implementing biodynamics in the garden and in learning to build websites ;).
